Laura Januszewski | Head Coach
Januszewski was the first NDSU athlete to place at the NCAA Division I Championships and became the first NDSU female athlete to earn USTFCCCA All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor track. She finished her career as the 2009 800m Outdoor NCAA Runner-Up and school record holder in four indoor and two outdoor races. Januszewski went on to compete in the 800m at the 2008 and 2012 US Olympic Trials and represented the United States at the Aviva International Match in Glasgow, Scotland in 2010.
In her first season as head coach, Januszewski led the men’s cross country teams to the school’s fastest top-five average at the NCAA Central Region Cross Country Meet. At the same meet, the women’s team recorded its highest team finish since 2011 (12th) and placed two on the All-Region Team. Januszewski also serves as an assistant coach during the track and field season where she coaches the middle and long distance runners (800m-10,000m). In her first season, she coached a MIAC Indoor Champion, two MIAC Indoor Runner-Ups, and two MIAC Outdoor Runner-Ups.
